We are currently serving at the Packinghouse (Calvary Chapel Redlands) our home church and have been for the last four years. I (Jeff) have been on staff as a pastor full time since July 09' and before that I served as an overseer for the High School Ministry here for 3 years. Rachael (my wife) has served along side me each step of the way and now is homeschooling our 6 year old son Isaac and taking care of our 3 year old daughter Pearl.
We lived in Kosovo for about 3 years total going in and out from 2001-2006 working with Eastern European Outreach in humanitarian aid which turned into a church plant after the humanitarian aid was done. We worked alongside Randy and Lycia Harvey (Rachael's parents) who have been serving there in Malisheve, Kosovo since 2000. In 2006 the Lord called us back here to work with my dad in the family business and have our second child Pearl. We knew when we came back that we would be returning to Kosovo in a matter of years and now here we are. It's been 4 years in the States. We have learned so much and grown so much in grace. Seeing how Pastor Ed leads Calvary Redlands and gleaning wisdom from the other pastors here has been amazing. We've been so blessed being with our family and church here and seeing the Lord provide our every need. we can't express that fully.
The LORD began to direct us over a year ago to head back toward Kosovo but also that he was not finished with us yet here at the church. In July last year I moved over from the High School Ministry to overseeing the Children's Ministry when the need arose and it has been amazing working in this part of the church. The Lord began to line up our hearts with what He is doing through Intensive Care Ministries in January of this year and we were approved to be on staff taking the Inductive Bible study to Eastern Europe specifically Kosovo. I took a trip with Dan Finfrock to Columbia to see how he does the seminar in another country. We are very excited to see how the Lord wants to use ICM in Muslim Kosovo and throughout the surrounding countries.
We are currently preparing to move back to Kosovo. We have tickets to leave January 27th 2011. We are raising awareness on what the Lord is doing in Kosovo, trusting the Lord for a financial support base and Care teams to be put together as mapped out in the book serving as senders by Neil Pirolo. We are connecting with churchs to see how Kosovo may fit into what they are doing and give information on an amazing opportunity to reach muslims with the gospel. This is truly a privilege for us and an exciting time to see what the Lord will do.
