Re-Connections (by Jeff)

 We’ve had an eventful week. There are so many things going on at once and we can see the Lord’s hand in it all. Here is one piece of the puzzle of God’s work in Kosovo right now:

  We reconnected with a kid (now a man) named Ram who is a believer that we spent much time with in the past. He now has a wife and baby girl and we had them all over for dinner a few nights ago. His father Sha was in a bad accident a couple months ago and is in the hospital on his 3^rd operation so we decided to go together to see him in Prishtina (the Capital) the next day.

   Another kid (now a man)  named Lu a believer who Jeff was very close with before, we reconnected with and found out his mother is in the same hospital with cancer problems. So we lined it up for him to come as well. These two guys barely knew each other. On the ride in at 7:30 am they “connected” and Ram ended up giving blood with Lu to reserve blood for Lu’s mom’s operation. We saw Ram at the store today and he was on his way to have a coffee with Lu.

    It keeps going. Ram’s brother, Liry (whom Jeff  was very close with also) heard we were back in town and made his way in from his village to hang out. We re-connected and spent time catching up in our apartment and he mentioned that he had seen another Christian brother named Uri who was very dear to us and one of the first believers in this region, on his way home .They live in the same village so Jeff decided to go with Liry to visit Uri and give Liry a ride home.

   We got there and visited with Uri and his father Elmo. Elmo was saved before his son when a German missionary prayed for him soon after the war and he was healed from cancer. He is one of only about three men over 30 yrs old whom we know of that confess Christ in this region. We had such a great time for about two hours talking. Elmo and Liry didn’t really know each other at all though they were from the same village. Elmo’s 16 year old daughter, Uri’s sister, had recently died of a rare disease. Praise the LORD, she was a believer. This has hit the family very hard though so we got to just minister with them and speak Scripture to one another for about 2 hours.  We just caught up, Elmo counseled the young believer Liry some, we all encouraged each other and re-connectedJ.

 So if you’ve been praying fro Unity……. Keep doing it. I know this is just one of those pieces of the puzzle that has a flat side on it helping form the outer edge of what the LORD is doing. Thank you Jesus
